Sunday Postcard Musings

Back to working on the Butterfly Postcard series. After a night at the "House of Horror" in Miami and carnival rides, nothing better than a little peace and quiet with my new Marie's watercolors.

Collage is not one of my most used mediums, but I decided to add some collage to this postcard and I am very pleased with the result.

And of course, a few shots from last night's Carnival and House of Horror night.

Nothing spells fun like zombie and elephant ears: yummy!

Glad to see you're putting your new watercolours to beautiful use. Love the sound of the House of Horror, that kind of stuff freaks me out, but in a good way!

Your new watercolours are lovely! Interesting collage, too! As for the House of Horrors. That would be too much for me but glad you had fun!

Lovely butterfly and I really like the look of the collage.

Can't say as I've ever been into the horror stuff. . . I don't watch horror movies or even read so much as a Stephen King novel. Things like blood, guts and gore totally creep me out.
I prefer my things sweet, cute and cuddly and especially non menacing. Yeah, I know it is not very Halloween like, but guess I just don't understand today's mentality of "the more gore, the better". I will even change channels when an ad comes on for a creepy movie or an ad for Universal Studio's "Fright Night" :)

Hi Ana,
These watercolors are really beautiful and vibrant. I love your butterfly and the collage. I like the contrast.

I've never heard of Marie's, I'll have to look for them. I wonder did you get them in a craft store or an Asian store?

I love carnivals they're magical. This one looks pretty creepy but fun.

Love your butterfly! It is very colorful. Hope you're safe and sound. My prayers are with the people living on the east coast.

Carnivals are great! It's so weird how the hustle and bustle of life brings the need for the quiet at home. It's a constant push and pull:) xoxo - BTW, off topic - it's sweet that you and your hubby are into Dexter. It's such an engaging show. xoxo, Introvert!
