Madness, Mindfulness and other Random Thoughts

First, I want to apologize for all who participated in the Women's Circle Traveling Journal. I completely dropped the ball. The book is back in my hands and I was supposed to send it to 2 other participants and I have just not had the time. My work has been all consuming, insane. I will be in 3 different states in the next 3 days...you get the picture.

Second, my anxiety has come back and any free minute I have found has been spent on my couch in pure exhaustion... I know. I hate to make excuses, but it's been tough.

Third, I have been trying real hard to stay positive, to do my mindful meditation, but the world seems to have gone just a little bit insane. Between diseases, chaos, and psycho behavior, I have to say this introvert's brain is MAJORLY scattered and I am having a hard time collecting even the most rudimentary thoughts.

The one escape has been the ballet. I went back to taking adult lessons and it has allowed me not to succumb into madness with the rest of the world. I am starting pointe training and this is such an accomplishment for me.

Love you all, miss you all and hope that very soon I will be shipping the book to the rightful owner.

The world has been spinning of late. So, take your solace when you need, where you need.

Peace.

What a wonderful idea to go to the barre and escape with the ballet. Healthy, healing, beautiful. Bravo.

I'm sending you good thoughts - I'm very glad that pointe allows your some relief from the state of the world right now. I think it's making everyone feel weary and beaten down. I've had to turn off the news to give my psyche a rest. Your painting is beautiful!

My heart leapt when I saw the photo of the ballet shoes. I studied ballet when i was very young, then I had children and I missed it. I too went back as an adult and luckily I'd kept all my ballet shoes. I still have them to this day as a momento of that time although I can't see me going back any time soon! ;)
Anxiety can be the sign of a sensitive soul, it shows a caring and compassionate heart and I hope the focussed exercise helps to calm your restless thoughts.xx

Ballet?

How cool!!

I've been sorta kinda overwhelmed by Life as well... it seems that it just happens. No??

On a positive note, I have bought a bunch of art supplies... I'm going to start drawing and painting again... and it's partly your fault!!

HAH!!

I trust all is better with you...

I know what you mean and you're not alone. The world is a little more chaotic or at least we know more about it these days, thanks to the internet, social media and just being more aware of what's out there.

Sounds like ballet is the perfect escape. Enjoy and I love your sketch! Your art journal must be full of little gems.

I love that you're taking ballet lessons! I hope that when I move, I'll be able to take classes in something new and exciting!

BTW, I've been struggling with anxiety too. Enough that I even called my doctor, and if you knew me you'd know that I only do that in dire situations. :) So, I hear ya! *hugs*

Ballet? How wonderful! I think that is quite amazing and probably the last thing I would have thought of to take my mind off the horrible unbearable things that are happening in the world! Please take care and don't forget us!!

The World seems to have gotten smaller and all of its problems appear bigger. I tend not to watch the news as the media likes to focus upon all of the World's negativity.
Years ago, Ana, I read a book written by Dr. Christiane Northrup, called: Women's Bodies, Women's Minds; The Mind Body Connection. In it Dr. Northrup addresses this issue that women are meant to be focused on family, their home, their neighborhood, their town or city and to try to grasp all of the problems of the whole, wide world can overwhelm us.
Her book made a lot of sense and I have recommended it to many of my family members and friends.
Of course I'm sure the diversion of taking ballet can also help erase the troubles of your day and help relax your body and calm your spirit.

That is fantastic that you can plug into something to make things calmer. Anxiety? Say no more.
