It's been crazy. I am a nest seeker by nature and change in my routine is not always welcomed. These past 2 weeks, I was trying to get all the tasks at work done and passed on to the rest of my team. Everyday realizing quitting was the best decision I made. Until I freaked out. I know new job jitters is normal, but I was really panicking. Self-doubt, buyers remorse. I went through a roller coaster of feelings.
Until it was not anymore...and all it took was a few words from my husband: "Ana, everyone has faith in you, but yourself." It really took me by surprise. I wonder how many of us go through this insane sea of emotions when it comes to how confident we feel in our competencies. How many of us doubt we are capable of a lot, even though we have succeeded in many trials or continued on, even after failing.
I am now excited about this new path in my career and about being once again out of my comfort zone.
To me courage is to keep going on, even when afraid.

I have felt the same way and my husband has told me exactly the same... I can understand you but your husband is right, you´re courageous and you deserve the best.
Oi Ana,
Fique tranquila, um friozinho na barriga é normal...
Você vai se dar muito bem no novo trabalho, confie.
Adorei estas pinturas, como você fez? É sobre azulejos?
Lindas!

Love those colors. Beautiful work. Good luck in your new job, you will do well and all will be fine.
We all believe in you here...everyone who knows you does! Sending you some extra hugs tonight! You're going to be great!
oh good for you! this job has been tormenting you, and I'm so glad to see you've taken a new path. I wish you peace in this new role
I'm a creature of habit, and change is sometimes quite intimidating. I'm not sure why we doubt ourselves so much...and so easily...sometimes. Like you, I have a husband who is so supportive and encouraging. I need that sometimes, too. I think most of us do.
Things will turn out wonderful for you. You'll see. All it takes is courage, and a little time and patience!
Sounds like you are on the right path now. I hope everything will work out for you
So often we are harder on ourselves than we need to be. Good luck on your new job! You'll wow them, I'm sure!
I like Lavender Dreamer's comment!
We DO all believe in you... doubt, self doubt, self-defeating voices from within our own heads tell us we can't succeed... we can't win... when, in reality, we CAN!
You can...

You have a very wise husband, Ana. Heed his words!
Oh so exciting to see what the new horizon looks like, taking the leap of faith, jumping! You so can do it Ana, you've done it lots of times! Hugs x
Did you see this guy on the net with no arms and legs? I think all need some of that!!

Nice painting, what kind of stuff did you use for it? xoxo
Good for you, I hope you get all the gifts you deserve, working unsue of your future, you're very brave :)
Aaaah good luck and I so hope you will start to trust in yourself and truely know you can do it. Manon x
I think it's natural to doubt ourselves when we have made a major change in our lives. Deep down, you know you've done the right thing and I'm sure this will be confirmed over the coming weeks. Beautiful artwork, Ana.
Best Wishes Ana and I'm sure you are going to make it.What you said about courage is absolutely right.
Beautiful post. Honest and true. Oftentimes, we are harder on ourselves than anyone else in the world would ever be. (You have a sensitive husband!) I will be thinking of you as you begin a new chapter...Monday? Hugs, kathy
Being new is always stressful. I mean, you don't even know where the paper clips are stored much less all the intricacies of a new job. Time and familiarity really will bring comfort.
Your hubby is a real keeper and spot on with his assessment. Just about all of us sell ourselves short.
My friend I blogged about this EXACT thing (comfort zones) Monday! I am so excited for you on this new journey :)
I think we all have those feelings to a degree. XO
What a lovely supportive husband you have! But it is totally normal to have new job jitters. Ha ha. EASY for me to say now that I'm retired, I know, but they do go away and you'll get to calm the next new person who comes on board all worried and unsure. Best wishes during this transition, Ana.
we always doubt out own abilities while everyone else can see our talents and strengths so clearly. I wonder why that is?
And I love the artwork! Is that still watercolor? It's so bright and vibrant and it looks shiny. What kind of surface is that?
Whoops! Strike that. I guess I missed that previous post with these tiles. I love it!
I am so excited for you! Change is scary, but it fuels us. Love those tiles... Spring popping out of them. Lois
You'll be wonderful! You made the right decision, just hold tight to that!
Very well stated! Courage is something most of us muster when confronted with something outside our comfort zone. I know I do. Public speaking used to be my most dreaded thing to do. But the more I did, the easier it became.
And I have heard that very statement from my Hubby - "you don't have enough faith/confidence in your own abilities". I am better now than I used to be - but still have my moments.....
Your husband sounds like a wonderful person...and oh yes, I relate to the self-doubt. You have always come across to me as a very courageous person - you will get through this with flying colors! I'm glad you are realizing this...have a good weekend, Ana. :)
I really like these colors! I liked this post very much.

Aww it's sweet of him to give such advice.
I love the thingy also.
I made something like that once. Except mine looked more like I drew circles with markers and poured water on them....cause that's what I did.
Yours actually looks pretty omg. :')
Oh Ana you are so very blessed to have such a wise supporting husband. He is right you are going to be incredible. Hug B
that self doubt can be a real "curve-ball"....i don't like those either. glad to hear that you have a wonderful spouse who obviously knows you and told you exactly what you needed to hear! have faith in yourself- you are braver than you know!
i love the art! the colors are brilliantly beautiful! are they alcohol inks?
Great words from your hubby! Listen to him! All the best in your new job! Love the art piece you are creating!
Art is art and not discussed. Gorgeous! hug
You are so good at writing about what I feel many of us wrestle with, but don't verbalize. And your husband is right! I would wish you luck, but I don't think you need it :)
Good luck Ana on the next chapter... and on taking the next step... following through into the unknown... but knowing also that it is the right thing to do... bravo...
Jenny ♥
Beautiful colors and artwork and as RK wrote (above me), you are so good at writing about what we all feel, at one time or other. I don't doubt you will do well and hit at whatever you shoot for. You have a gift, chica, and I hope you know that.
Everyone doubts themselves, and that's healthy. I think doubt and fear (in healthy amounts) are a sign of growth. Discomfort is a sign of growth. Growth is risk. It sounds like you have a good support system around you . . . sometime soon you will realize that on that day the fear and discomfort are gone. Phew! Then - for sure - the universe will bring more growth to your doorstep.
Fabulous painting! And yes, it does seem overwhelming at times, doesn't it? I'm so glad your husband is such a good supporter -- I think that helps, just knowing someone is in your camp.
Change is often good... and just what we need...
All the best with your new career path Ana. I know you will be fabulous! You are so amazing xoxo
Sending you positive thoughts as you embrace change ! All the best ! Really like the colorful art in this post :)
