counting the blessings

This has been one of my busiest weeks of the year. Our company's holiday party is coming up this Friday and we are feeding 1,200 people! As I get close to my employees, many who are foreign, older women, I realize that an arduous path for a hopeful heart is an adventure. As I look at their marked faces and their callused hands, my heart sings that I can, somehow, be part of their lives.

Then, I come home and I find the amazing card I bought from Jenny, from A Simpler Life. As I said before, a hand written note is to me a reminder the written language is not dead. And what an amazing handwriting Jenny has.

I had the opportunity to play with my new watercolors a little bit and what amazing colors they are.

And snatched this beautiful glass nib pen at 50% off, from the Barnes & Noble in my neighborhood.

Today, I am counting my blessings. I am looking at the little things and I smile.

Ana, tão poético este seu post. Adorei!

Hi my dear, the glass nib is beautiful and what a find you did get. I love hand written things and it almost getting to be a lost art. My hand writing is hard to read though, a left handed diva here. Hugs and always love your blog. xoxox
