Visit to Key West

Hubby, dogs and I went to Key West for the weekend. It was full of people from all over the world, which was really nice. It was hot, real hot and humid, which was not so nice... and I got sick yesterday, which makes for some feverish post. So please forgive me. Enjoy our little stroll around town.

Heat and humidity don't make me feel so well, either, so I empathize with you. So sorry you got sick on your weekend getaway. Bummer. Your photos are gorgeous. I have always wanted to experience Key West...someday.... Thank you for sharing! Feel better.

Great photos! Too bad about the heat but then again . . . it's Florida!

Here in the UK we don't get many really hot days but this week has been scorching! I love the dazzling sunlight colours but have to keep covered up as the heat does not like me, I get prickly heat rash and feel generally unwell. So you have my sympathy, hope you feel better soon. Lovely pics. x

These photos are beautiful! They really portray how lovely this place is. I'm not a fan of heat combined with humidity, either. Hope you feel better soon!

I am so envious. Many generations of my family are Key Westers. I was the only one in 8 generations born off the island which makes me a "stranger" in their eyes.
Thank you for the nostalgic visit for me via your really great pictures.
Sure hope you are feeling better.

Beautiful photos! As a resident for over 20 years, I can't imagine living anyplace else. Yes, it does get hot here, but you can throw away your ice scrapers and snow shovel as we are below the frost line; it's all a matter of personal preference - some like it hot! Hope you're feeling better.

Ana, it is really hot and humid in our country too. I hope that you are feeling better now. Please take care of yourself and drink lots of water, keep yourself hydrated.
I love looking at these summer pictures, I feel like going to a sea beach after looking at them. But it is very hot, so I am mostly staying indoors.
I love the spontaneous nature of the photographs-especially "the outfits for sale" photo and the artist painting.
Thank you for sharing these with us.
Have a nice day !

Hi Susan, I stopped by your blog, but there was no comment link. Key West is absolutely beautiful and I wan enchanted with the colonial style houses as well as the abundant cultural options when we were walking around Duval Street. Thank you for stopping by! Ana

Oh my I am getting rashes too. Awful! But well worth it as the town is beautiful and booming with culture.

hello Ana, first time here!
hoping you've cooled off by now, as we've had such a shift (eastern US) over the last 2 days. Welcome relief for you, poor thing! Your photos are food for the soul.. making me want to go back to my 'fantasy isle.' The last trip, only my 2nd, was 6 mos ago. I have never been more inspired with my photography, than the time spent in Key West!! Couldn't you just eat it with a SPOON? We had our, now standard, talk about moving there ~ and how can you blame us when it's 80 and sunny every single day!!

I still miss the roosters :D

PS you've inspired a post!
