The first day of the rest of our lives

I stopped by to let you guys know one thing: tomorrow I fly all by myself for the first time in over 5 years. As many of you may know, I have battled flying phobia for a few years now. Not nervousness, not butterfly in my stomach, but full blown panic attack.

Tomorrow, I fly to Indy for work. A mix of anxiety, excitement and the feeling this is the beginning. One more.

I understand you since I always worry when I fly - but it will go fine, I promise! :-)

I will be thinking of you Ana. Take the strength within you, combine it with all of the strength being sent to you, and breathe in peace.

I have exactly the same thing. I do not fly unless it is absolutely unavoidable. (Which maybe you knew because of my taking the train across the country to my son's wedding?) Anyway, we're in a sisterhood together on this one.

I will think good and calm thoughts for you tomorrow!

I so admire your biting the bullet. I am so afraid that if I held the winning lottery ticket and could only claim in by flying somewhere, I would have to give it away.
I know in my head it is a safe way to travel, just can't convince my mind of that. Hope it isn't too stressful for you. Deep breaths and a little liquor might help. You will be fine.

Ana, ótima viagem.
Vá confiante, eu fiquei anos sem viajar de avião também, e desde 2011 tenho viajado muito e sozinha na maioria das vezes.
Agora, quando passo um tempo sem viajar, sinto falta...

You'll be in my thoughts, Ana! I have this same anxiety about driving on highways, so I completely relate to that sense of panic. I can sense that you're ready to take this on - I can feel your courage! Have a wonderful trip. :)

Good luck today. I love to fly and I am terrified of it. It's a mix of extreme excitement and terror. I'm sure you did well and you are sooo brave to attempt to conquer this phobia. Love and hugs Introvert! xoxo
