New layout

Mr. Peacock post card: ink & watercolor

As you may have noticed, I rearranged the blog's layout. I wanted it to look cleaner, more minimalistic, which I believe is the path I am starting to follow. The path of simplicity.

The blog now has a links tab on top where, if you want, you can find more about this blog and blogger who comes here to share art and philosophical musings. Or your can just enjoy the view.

“Possessions, outward success, publicity, luxury - to me these have always been contemptible. I believe that a simple and unassuming manner of life is best for everyone, best for both the body and the mind.”
― Albert Einstein

I am glad to see the butterfly at the top, don't take that away! Very clean look, simple and a good showplace for your colorful paintings! Those peacock colors are fab!

Hi Ana!

It looks nice and clean, but the butterfly could be a little bit bigger. I love to see that butterfly on the top of your blog.
The peacock is lovely.

Hi Ana. Wow, your blog does look very clean. I've wanted to take everything out of my blog too but I feel like I'm losing something if I do that. Some day I'll try to do that. Beautiful peacock. My husband brought one home from the feed store a few years back. It's a beautiful creature but I could not put up with the way they scream. It really bugged me. tee hee. Great interpretation. You are for sure a "bird" girl.:) Have a great rest of the week. Nice look.

The peacock is beautiful. My wife Jilda does watercolors. She does our Christmas cards each year.

I like simplicity and minimalism -- a very Japanese aesthetic.

Over the years I have changed my layout a number of times gradually decreasing the fuss. My background to some extent has been with publishing so graphics are always my thing! I decided in the end that I wanted what I was saying/displaying to be prime and yes, I do like clean minimalism. Going to be changing soon, I want some categories of special interest (Mental Health / Yoga to be featured so I'm working on this but very slowly! Hugs x

Simplicity is always best and your drawing is full of hope and beauty

I prefer simplicity in blog layouts. Sometimes, the really lovely backgrounds of some blogs detract from the content.
Your art work deserves the spotlight without distraction.

I did the same to my blog. xo

I love this new layout. I often thought about going for a more minimalistic look on my blog, but I guess it isn't me. I'm messy...

I've always believed less is more. I had a busy blog with a dark background (once upon a time) and it just didn't work for me. Life can get cluttered enough, I want to choose clean and simple when I have a choice...although the content can be rich and colorful. I'm all for that.

The simplicity shows off your gorgeous art even more! Love it!

Looks nice! (And I LOVE butterflies).

I'm obsessed with constantly changing all my blog layout. It's turned into some serious OCD, although I'm going to try to do a lot less of that with this new blog.

Cute! I totally love this direction and want mine to be more minimalistic as well. Just need to find the time to sit there and do it. Reminds me of one of my favorite blogs - Zen Habits. xoxo Introvert!
