A view from the top

Watercolor, twinkling H2O, and digital collage

I am now resurrecting from the dead. Four days with the flu, fever and all the great symptoms the flu virus offer is no fun.

My husband told me nicely, I should not paint when feverish (in regard to my painting above).

The day is just glorious outside and I caught the kids sunbathing in the balcony.

I love living on the 21st floor. The best thing, after the view, is that both my husband and I have deemed our home "zombie proof." We have a plan for the zombie apocalypse ;-)

Though I rarely am able to capture the kids together, I was able to shoot them sunbathing.

You don't think zombies can climb 21 flights of stairs?
I hope you get strong and well soon.
Your furbabies are lucky to get to sunbathe!

You've got a great view! Hope you're better now. :-)

Ha, I like your birdie painted when you had a cold! I hope you feel better. The view looks awesome!

Well I guess you don't have to worry about alligators either if you are on the 21st floor. The view is spectacular and if I was sick I would surely like to recuperatre while looking out those windows. Glad you are better!

Sure hope you are much better now. I would have thought 21 flights up would have kept you safe from the bug anyway.
I am ground level, suppose that makes me zombie bait. Ouch.

That is one heck of a view! I still think you have a lot of potential zombies living in a building like that though! :) I'm glad you are feeling better!

Gorgeous view!

I, too, have a zombie plan...just turn on Fox News 24/7 when the apocalypse hits...they'll go looking elsewhere for brains! (Yes, a wicked giggle goes with that.)

I must humbly disagree with your husband's opinion btw. Hope you recuperate completely soon; in the meantime, enjoy time with the kids!

Sheesh!!! 21 floors...wow! So, I have a question. When the furbabies have to go outside, you go all the way down??? ...and what a view...

Are you sure your hubby isn't feverish now, because I let out a big "Ooh!" when I saw your painting. I like it.

I don't worry about Zombies. So long as my cat and little Pomeranian are here to protect us, we'll be plenty safe. :p

Oh my, Ana, is that your view? That is spectacular! I'd be sitting right near there all the time with a good book in hand. I am glad you are feeling better. Perhaps you will share your zombie plan with us...unless you don't want your secret being known!

Love your view and your bird. Your kids are awesome. I just took a picture today of Chocolatte and am going to put it on my sidebar. Very nice card. Have a wonderful week ahead. Thank you for always leaving such thoughtful comments on my blog. You are a true bloggie buddy.

Oh, I hate living up high! I lived in a condo on the 26th floor when I was in my late teens and the building swayed with the wind. It was disconcerting, to say the least, to see certain water-filled objects with the water moving! Ack.

I hope you are much, much better, and I love the bird you painted! It's sweet as could be.

I am glad you are ready for the Zombie Apocalypse. It's very important to be prepared.

My dog loves to sunbathe too. She used to lay out on her back in the grass and just relax.

Glad you are feeling somewhat better! Our local fire district sent out a flyer, and - I suppose to try to get our attention - had an article titled, "Zombie attack? How will you know?"

Lucky you - that view is magnificent!! I certainly could stand to look at sparkling water on a daily basis. Your kids are adorable :)

That's so funny, sorry about the flu Ii have a touch of it but not Zombie proof I'm on the top floor of a 4 floor building, all windows all sunshine I'm going to die in the summer, I already turn off the heat if it's sunny. oh wait the washroom has no windows , so I can take my three cats, food for them, and water, so we are zombie proof, well I don't, more likely, old building i see water stain on the ceilings it'll probably fall on my head and on my three cats, but hey I'm not afraid I have a real house in heaven ....

Out of Sight L said...

oh and they are beautiful, I have no cats :)

I disagree with your husband...this is a wonderful painting! I loved learning about where you live today...what a cool place to be!

Glad you are feeling better. The flu is no joke. I was bedridden for two days when I got it at the end of late year. Glad your place is zombie proof - be careful, though, put some spikes leading up to the windows just in case they learn how to climb (I am Legend). xoxo - Your view is heavenly!

so those are your kids, adorable.
i am glad you are beginning to feel better, that really does not sound good.

bird in flight is adorable....
sometimes art is about more than the outcome...be well.

so glad you are feeling better my young friend. Eldon hates Zombies, lol yep don't think they would make it up to 21 floors, probably a leg would fall off before they got there. LOL Hugs and have a great day. xo

Well, I'd say if that's painting when feverish, I'm not sure that's such a bad thing. That's one of my favorites of yours -- so cheery it can't help but make you sing.

I'm so sorry you have the flu. I've heard it is really wretched and every day I try to avoid it, hoping my flu shot holds through. I hope your sweet man has taken good care of you; I suspect he has. And I love the photos of the dogs. They make me smile -- and that tongue-licking the nose is just adorable!
