a lesson on humility

When I first started this blog, my idea was to have a place where I didn't have to be pushed to be sociable and make small talk. As an introvert, I feel very awkward in social situations where I have to deal with a big group. I wanted a place where people did not care about what I did for a living and did not ask me what I do for a living as a way to size up my income.

What I did not expect when I started this blog was to find a virtual world filled with women full of life and talent. I did not expect to find women who are mothers, wives, professionals, artists and everything in between who are also extremely filled with substance. Every woman who has visited this blog has touched me in some way. Be it through the wonderful art they blog about or the wise words they have written.

To all of you, I want to say thank you. Thank you for proving me wrong and giving me hope. Each one of you have showed me the world is filled with beauty and love and for that...I will forever be thankful.

It's really cool isn't it...when 'The Introverts' of the world find each other among the cyberwaves and get to discover the beauty normally kept hidden? In the short time I've come to know you I like you lots! The fellow introvert...

I was literally just texting with my two best friends about being the mom that avoids the other mom's at practices a activities because I just don't do small talk well. :D those two best friends happen to be the ones I met blogging 3 years ago.

Blogging has opened all kinds of amazing doors both inside myself and for life in general. I am continually amazed at the benefits of having a small space to call your own!

Isn't blogland really a wonderful place? I started my blog in 2009 to showcase my love of writing and poetry. Last year I started creating art again. It was only through the encouragement of a fellow blogger that I found the courage to publish my creative pieces. Now I'm addicted to blog hopping and am so happy to find so many beautiful women with their lovely creations.

That’s really beautiful, Ana! I am so glad to have met you here. Like you, when I began blogging I just wanted a place to go where people would not judge me. And for me, blogging began as a way to channel much of the personal sorrow in my life into something more positive. Like you, I found a wonderfully giving blog community, especially the women. Is that your artwork at the top of this post? Very nice!

Well thanks to you too for putting a unique blog out there. I love reading your posts, and, as an introvert myself I was insanely happy when I found your blog. It's so easy for bloggers to just promote their wonderful lives (whether true or not) but I find your writings so honest and interesting.

Love the art, is it yours? x

Bloggerville seems to have the cream of the crop people wise. I include you and I in that group. The cloak of invisibility blogging provides, really makes it easy to share. I'm new here but hope you keep them coming.

Thank you all for the kind words. In addition, some have asked if this is my art. The answer is yes. I painted it in water color and graffiti. It is a copy of an old poster I found online.

All the art and photography posted here are mine. If not mine, the photo will link back to its rightful owner.
