Give away

I feel this is the moment in my life I am at a cross road. This is the moment where I will have to decide whether I will turn into a boring adult or if I will allow magic, spirituality, amazement and awe still be part of who I am, or if I will be one of those people too adult to be ridiculous, to run in the rain, to see life with wonderment and to not be so completely cynical.

Truth is each one of you have been my circle of infinite wisdom, of infinite inspiration and love. Honestly, it has been each one of you who have given me the strength not to lose myself.

In a way to say thanks, I am doing a little giveaway. The above painting is an original, I think it is about 9x12 (I am horrible with details). It is signed and will be sent to a lucky one.

Leave a note on how you keep magic in your life and I will randomly pick a winner on Sunday!

Love you all!

I keep magic in my life by exploring new ideas, either by reading or just experimenting... This summer I decided to try and mimic how my friends prune my trees.. I never thought I could achieve what they do so effortlessly.. well, trial and error and I did a pretty good job.. I think magic happens when u keep an open mind... not only do u learn but you grow as well..

This crossroad you describe - I hope you realize that you have all the power to allow magic, spirituality, amazement and awe still be part of who you are :) go for it

Well, this is neat. I can't remember how I found your blog but I am glad I did.

I hope you will continue to follow your inner voice. That's how I keep the magic going. I am at a transition in my life and listening to my intuition instead of following the crowd, however scary, always keep me at a better place.

It'd be an honour to hang your artwork on my wall. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for offering this!

Beautiful painting. I keep the two people (me) separate. At work I was always "adult, organized, the boss, etc." But the minute I got out of work, I became the true me. I had friends at work, but really didn't socialize with them outside of work. At home, had "my fun friends".

How can you NOT allow magic, spirituality, amazement and awe to still be part of who you are?

Don't ever NEVER EVER stop, being one of those people too adult to be ridiculous, to run in the rain, to see life with wonderment and to not be so completely cynical.

There are too many of them already, and I need help trying to make the world a more fun and insane, inane place!!!

Oh Ana! You won't lose the magic, you care too much! I have lived and learned so much this year. My Word, Trust, has led me on the most amazing adventure. Everything I have ever searched for, has always been within me. You, too. When I listen to the Silence and meditate, and Trust in my Self and in the universe, my life flows and my heart sings. Light. Big hugs, miss you, kath

You will always have magic in your life, run in the rain, dance under the moon, if you decide you want to.

It's as simple as that -- deciding you want to. Deciding that even when things are grim or sad or frustrating that there is a glimmer of something in there that makes you see hope. Hope leads to discovery, discovery leads to joy, joy leads to bliss. It's a circle. How you turn that glimmer to hope can be any way -- your art, a song, a giggle, giving back -- there are a million ways. And I think you already know that!

Your painting is lovely. Whomever wins will love it!

My magic lies in my very healthy inner child. The child that seldom considers "why" but eagerly says, "why not."

Creativity is my magic...whether it's with poetry, photography, or painting. I don't know what I'd do without it! I feel the same way as you do about my blog friends - they're my creative tribe that I don't have in my "real life". What a beautiful painting, Ana - thanks for the chance to win. :)

Ana your painting is almost as beautiful as you are.
I think that magic comes from our hearts, within us all is that little child we once used to be, the child that giggled and played games and believed in fairies, and elves and magical places. Many times we just choose to ignore that child, we tell her to be quiet, behave herself but thankfully, for most of us, she pops her head up and we find ourselves walking in the rain or taking off our shoes and wading into a stream of clear, cold water, or sitting down with a box of crayons and a child's coloring book.

May we never be too grown-up to let that little child within us out to play. :)

Whatever you do, do it with all your heart, and live your life so you can look back and say "Wow, that was fun!"

I have reached a point in my life where I don't waste time on petty issues. The world is beautiful and magical, and I try to enjoy every minute of the time I have here. Life is short, so live it up!

Nope, no, nada you will not become a boring adult. I can tell that by all what you have posted. Just live day to day and enjoy the moment. I have done that for all my 69 1/2 years and I love it. Now please put my name in the pot dear lady. xoxoxoxo

Life is way too darn short Ana, for you NOT to live a magical, spiritual, amazing, awe filled life!! Silly goose! I like to create and experiment and try things in my studio...and to dance and sing- even if i look a little silly- the question should be.... Does it make me happy?! Then do it and allow it into your life and allow it be bring those around you happiness or at least a smile....while they watch you. :)

How do I keep magic in my life, I try to live everyday to the fullest! I smile, I laugh, I even cry! I smell the fresh air and listen to the birds sing. I meditate, keep my stones and crystals around me. I blog ;o)I am thankful for everything! I dance, but most important of all, I paint ;o) My crows are so special to me!

People never really lose the magic in their lives. They might choose to ignore it, but it's always there. For me, I choose to embrace it, because a life without wonder and magic is bland and colorless. I have little trinkets I keep around to remind me, and sometimes it's just the glitter and sparkle of the tiniest thing that gives you that extra zing for your day!

Patty said...

I vote for you to allow magic, spirituality, amazement and awe stay in you life. If you are like me you die a slow death not allowing that in your life. Being a boring adult is never any fun! I keep play and dance in my life. Along with my wild imagination when "boring adult" seems inevitable for a moment or two.

I honestly love your posts. So very thoughtful!! I realized today just how much your post spoke to me, and I think honestly, my magic continues because of people like you who inspire me....so, to answer your question, surrounding myself with those that totally inspire me.
