To liquor or not to liquor

We went to a place called the YPark. It is a chacaça museum and distiller of the sugar cane liquor brand named Ypioca. The brand was purchased by Diageo for $453 million dollars. Diageo is the maker of Smirnoff and Johnny Walker.

This museum included the original distiller built by a Portuguese immigrant who founded Ypioca sometime in the 1800's. When you walk around the museum, you can see the barrels where the liquor is kept and one gets a little drunk with just the fumes ;-) The place also includes a sugar cane plantation, a park where one can find activities such as zip lining, paddle boarding, canoeing, etc.

The ticket price includes 1 shot of the liquor... nice!

Here are some shots of our visit.

 It was fun!

Beautiful images! It does look like a lot of fun. I would have been happy to have one of those delicious Smirnoff coolers (raspberry flavour, please); the only alcoholic drink that really appeals to me. Can't wait to see more of your amazing trip!

What an interesting tour! Love all your pics, especially those baby piglets - how precious are they?!! Also, their recycling system is too cute. Is that a black bird perched on upper left of the cactus?

Jolies photos. J'ai une préférence pour celle de la truie allaitant ses petits.
Belle journée à toi et merci pour ton passage sur mon blog.

I would have paid a visit as well - I love places that offer lots to do and see. Not to mention the alcohol, of course!

I wonder if the area was as different to you as it seems to me. I mean did you find it was a geographical location similar to Florida? Truthfully, it is a part of the world I know absolutely nothing about so this is fascinating! Do tell about all of the creepy crawlies that live there. I love/hate to know about things like that!!

Beautiful photos! The one with the baby piggies is soo cute. I love the old school register, too and the photo with the barrels with the blue sky and green grass makes me want to run around and try to hug the barrels. I am so happy for you! Looks like you two had an amazing vacation. xoxo Introvert.
